June 7 to 9, 2010 – Our next annual Conference in Berlin
The City of Berlin together with Vitako, the association of German public ICT service providers and Major Cities of Europe have the pleasure to announce the 2010 joint Conference
New models of service delivery and governance, new ways of collaborating between administrations, new relationship and collaboration models between governments and constituents, new initiatives in transforming the way they serve them are at the heart of the development of an integrated, collaborative and networked “New” Local Government.
The conference aims at discussing some of the cross European Local Government transformation strategies, experiences, and projects which are leading to a high quality and cost effective administration focused on providing valued services and initiatives designed on the needs of their constituents. These experiences will show how they can create the opportunities for the inclusion of the constituents in the administrative, democratic and political processes and how they are contributing in facing the financial crisis with the realization of new ideas connected with an intelligent use of ICT.
The leading European experiences and the debate will help answering questions about these developments as well as further steps for creating the future. The discussion is ongoing across Europe at all levels of government and with ICT providers that develop and deliver solutions and practices for a successful approach towards the “New” local government.
The conference aims to bring together international and German Local Government CIOs and other pubic officials with leading ICT providers with the aim of exchanging experiences and developing a community of leaders willing and capable to transform government. To this end the conference addresses leaders responsible for an intelligent use of ICT in cities, counties and regions as well as leaders responsible for the creation of a sustainable local government administration.
The conference will take place in Berlin from June 7 to 9. Berlin is one of the most dynamic and innovative cities in Europe, boosted by the key substantial changes that have taken place during the last 20 years. As a city and as a state in Germany, Berlin is the most applicable place to discuss the new ICT-driven and transformed Local Government all over Europe.
