There are two flight alternatives :

1. Fly to Athens and from there get to Larissa
2. Fly to Thessaloniki and from there get to Larissa

The second alternative is the less time-consuming one, because Larissa is closer to Thessaloniki than to Athens. But, of course, your choice will depend on the best flight option.

• – Take Bus Line 01X  from Airport Arrivals stop located outside of the airport premises
• – If you travel late at night Take BUS Line 01N
• –Desembark   at the   Train Station(OSE) (Bus stop: NEOS  SIDIRODROMIKOS   STATHMOS)
• –Bus frequency: every 30 minutes
• – Single  fare: €2.00 (use bus ticket machine – in coins- OR  kiosk  near  the  bus  stop )
• –Travel time: 50 minutes

By Taxi:

–Take taxi outside of the airport premises.

-Taxi fare: €25.00-30.00 | Travel time: approx. 35 minutes (depending on traffic).

ATHENS – LARISSA

All major airlines fly directly to Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” (ATH) which is located at Spata.     

To get from Athens to the city of Larissa, you have the following transfer options. If you desire to come to Larisa by Train:

To Athens TRAIN (OSE) STATION

By Metro  (https://stasy.gr/en/ ):

• Take the Metro from the airport, line 3 (blue line), direction Aigaleo. Disembark at Syntagma station and take line

2 (red line), direction Agios Antonios. Disembark at Larisa station (OSE).

• Metro frequency from Airport to Syntagma: every 30 minutes

First itinerary: 06:30 |Last itinerary: 23:30

• Metro frequency from Syntagma to Larisa station: every 5 minutes First itinerary: 05:38 | Last itinerary: 00:20 (only Friday & Saturday night, the last itinerary is at 02:20).

• Metro fare: €10.00 (buy ticket at the metro station)

Travel time: approx. 50 minutes

By Bus:

Take the bus Line X95 from bus stop located outside of the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport to Syntagma

Travel time: approx. 50 minutes

Then take the Metro (red line) to Stahmos Larisis (Larisa Station)

Bus Fare: € 6 Metro Fare 1.20 euro
